Import at ZERO Import Tax cost!
Aiming to add innovation and technology, the Government defined the possibility of zeroing the Import Tax rate (II) for some specific goods. The rate then goes from 16% or 14% to ZERO! Furthermore, IPI and ICMS are also reduced, since the II forms the basis for calculating both.
As the benefit was created with the intention of encouraging the productive capacity of companies and national competitiveness, it is mandatory that there is no production, in the country, of the item that is intended to be imported.
